Found these beauties at the nursery. Although they are spring bloomers, it is still too cold for them outdoors. I love the layers upon layers, and the multi-color varieties are my favorites.
Lovely colors and as always, excellent detail. I agree with Beth - they look (esp. the last) like an onion or garden veg that you would peal and eat. TFS.

Beautiful colors! I recall seeing Ranunculus in the gardening catalog, but don't recall those vivid colors. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThey look like an onion in a way because of all the layers. Only much prettier!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is so cool with all of the texture in the leaves and petals!!
ReplyDeleteI love that bottom one! Gorgeous! Are they related to artichokes? ;)
ReplyDeleteLove them! My fave is the last one, I love all the lines from the petals :)
ReplyDeleteLovely Pat, the last one reminds me of pieces of crepe paper all stacked together. The lines on it are so subtle.
ReplyDeleteOh these are lovely. I love the colours and the richness in the petals together!

ReplyDeleteI like the layer look a lot too! The last one really shows them, it's my favorite of the 3.
ReplyDeleteOoh, these are fabulous! I love all that layering!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! I love the colors and texture.
