Heather

My heather is blooming--that is the bits of it that the deer haven't stripped. Deer are supposed to NOT eat heather; evidently the deer around here didn't get that memo. I love the tiny dainty little flowers on these. Each little bloom is about 1/4". Isn't that color gorgeous this gloomy time of year?

  1. I love your DOF and the color. Those deer are so pesky, aren't they?

  2. WOW Pat! The color and bokeh on this shot is absolutely stunning, beautiful work! I haven't visited your blog since the hellebores post, it's so nice to see you having the time to shoot and post! The picture of ALL those primroses is gorgeous, was that at Molbaks? And the snow pics made me smile. Did you hear we may get more in a day or two?

  11. Love the contrasting colors - and great capture - especially since you got to it before the deer (you know they strike in the night, and just when you think your beautiful flowers are safe...deer with no morals!)

  14. Lovely picture - the colors and DOF are stunning. I don't think we have heather around here - it is a nice plant.
