It's about the texture

The leaves and veining on this tropical plant were neat. BUT, in B&W They look like valleys and ridges and rivers...

  1. Very cool leaves. They look almost like I would imagine elephant skin looks.

  6. I would not have guessed leaves. It looks like some kind of rich fabric!

  8. They almost look leathery (if there is such a word). Pat, you have such the eye for detail - great shots!

  9. Wow Pat - since I have been checking out your blog - I have started looking at things differently - I went to the Botanical Garden yesterday... and took some shots of leaves too!! ;) Nothing compared to yours... but it's a start!! :)

  10. It looks like the leaves must be very thick, and how interesting to remove the color to better see the texture of "rivers" through it! I'm amazed that R knew the BN bridge! I LIKE that he's been through here! Did he used to ride through the downtown area, along DeMers, past the US Bank building? I work in that building, and see and here the train all day long (except now, :( . . . .they're rerouted around the city and I miss their sounds.)
