Water: Lilies

I thought I'd switch from drops...I need a little variety. These are from my friendly little local nursery from the 4th of July. The water lilies in their pond are starting to bloom, and depending on where I was standing, the water reflected the gorgeous blue sky that day or the trees nearby. (Disclaimer: these were with my P&S--I know I have some blow-outs)

  1. These are just gorgeous, Pat. !!
You captured some lovely reflections in the last two and what a difference in the colour of the water when you get the blue sky reflected in it
We have just put in a couple of frog ponds down the back of our yard and I am nearly ready to go shopping for water lilies. I love the big flat leaves and the beautiful flowers.
    GREAT shots. !!!

  2. Pat these are just beautiful! I adore the PINK of them, and when the blue sky was reflected, WOW! I've been meaning to go by the arboretum to shoot the water lilies, but haven't made it yet. They're going to be done blooming soon :(

  5. Water lilies always mesmerize me - they are so beautiful and dress-up an otherwise ordinary spot of water. Lovely captures.

  6. Hmm, I think blogger ate my response!
I wanted to make sure you knew I love the second photo- the deep, dark water contrasting with the bright pink simply makes me happy. Lovely :)
