Love, Man-Style

What is it with men and remotes?? I mean, aren't they supposed to leave their Woobies behind when they grow up? R has always been a remote-hog, but since he's been home from the hospital, I swear that thing never leaves his hand. Actually, I'm surprised that it hasn't started growing to his hand! My favorite part is when he is sound asleep, completely and totally zoned out, and doesn't even hear me talking to him. I gently reach over and slide the remote out of his relaxed grip. WRONG! The hand spasmodically clenches shut, and he shouts (honest!) "I'm watching that! I'm watching that!" Needless to say, he doesn't even know what "that" IS--just don't take away the remote. Anyone else out there have the same problem??

  1. LOL. Don't you know that the remote is a substitute for a man's, ahem, manhood? ;)

  6. Too funny! No, I don't share that problem. My DH's woobie is his computer or game consoles.

  8. LOL Pat, too funny! Our problem is that we have too many remotes and that I don't know what they do or how to use them. The only one I can kind of work is the one for the TV, the other ones I don't even try to figure out.

  10. Oh girl don't even get me started. I refuse to watch TV with my dh or any of my ds you see it is hereditary in males. I don't think any of them has ever seen 1 complete tv show. They change it so much and so fast it gets me sick. Oh yeah and do not take it out of his hand because yes he is watching it.

  11. What a funny shot, but oh so true! We sleep with the 'clicker', as we call it. I'm constantly rolling over onto it and worrying I'm going to turn the tv on at 3am. And, it's not me that puts it in the bed... :)

  21. Pat - great shot. I just assumed this is a genetic thing / don't know a male who doesn't take seize of the remote and dictatorship of the TV.
