Trying textures

I actually found some filters in my oh-so-elementary editing program, so tried a couple of them on this photo. This is the original.
This is with a cross-hatch conversion. I like the way this emphasizes the peeling paint and old feeling of the bird house.
This is a chalk drawing conversion. It reminds me on a very puny scale of the wonderful work that Kazz does.

  10. These look really cool, Pat! Somehow I don't think you're the type to overdo the texture and use it all the time like I was when I first learned to apply them. :-D

  12. I forgot to answer you about our deep freeze. It is really cold, but I have experienced worse! I'm just mostly staying inside, which I tend to do in January anyway.
